Why Trump Wants Revenge on the British

The Republican candidate took offense at the Brits for conspiring with Harris and will remember this betrayal

British political strategists working for the Labour Party have joined the US presidential campaign on the side of Kamala Harris. In this case, unlike the fake story that Russian hackers operating on social media convinced tens of millions of Americans to vote for Donald Trump in 2016, the evidence of direct foreign interference is rock solid.

Sofia Patel, who leads Labour’s operations team, previously posted on social media: «I have nearly 100 current and former Labour Party members heading to the United States over the next few weeks to North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia». It turns out they have indeed landed in swing states to sway voter sentiment in favor of Kamala Harris.

The team of the 45th U.S. president has filed a complaint with the local election commission to publicly shame the gentlemen and ladies from the former motherland. Susie Wiles, one of the coordinators of the Trump-Vance campaign team, said: «In two weeks, Americans will once again reject the big government oppression we rejected in 1776… The Harris campaign’s acceptance and use of this illegal foreign aid is yet another feeble attempt in a long chain of anti-American (in essence) election meddling».

The consequences of the British propaganda and campaign intervention could be quite dramatic for London if it turns out to have bet on the wrong horse. If Trump takes office, relations with the Labour government could quickly freeze. That’s because the impulsive and unpredictable political amateur who failed to finish his second term in the White House has already made it clear to all his enemies: he’s coming back to settle scores.

No wonder Sir Keir (Prime Minister Starmer) quickly backtracked, asserting: «I will work with whoever the American people return as their president in the next election». Notably, the verb «return» can only mean the former president, i.e. Trump, not Harris.

A belated curtsey? The British influence on some of the innovative approaches and tactics in Kamala Harris’s campaign is already evident. The manipulators from London are helping to manage the noisy defiance of the party’s left wing (with ample experience), promoting a pro-Palestinian narrative that is alienating the Democratic Party from the traditionally supportive Jewish community.

An «added value» of the visiting political strategists is an extensive hate campaign against Elon Musk, a charismatic intellectual and fellow billionaire who has joined Trump’s camp. In Britain, he was declared persona non grata and faces heavy fines for not censoring information and opinions on social network X about the causes and developments of riots incited by aggressive migrants, whom the authorities have defended.

Contrary to the propaganda cliché that America and Britain are bound by a «special relationship», they have long been engaged in an undeclared competitive struggle.

This hidden rivalry is evident not only on the Ukrainian track, where the former commander-in-chief Zaluzhny was nurtured by the Yankees, while the expired Zelensky was turned into a puppet by the British, who assigned agents of their special services to him as bodyguards (and overseers). The rivalry between the two empires, one past and one present, has deep historical roots and a rich chronology.

Let’s recall. Influenced by the jingoistic fervor of the «war party» in Congress, U.S. President Thomas Jefferson first called for the liberation of the northern neighbors — the Canadians — from «British tyranny», and then his successor in the White House, James Madison, declared war on the British Empire on June 12, 1812, hoping to take advantage of the moment when it was preoccupied with preventing Napoleon’s invasion.

The commander of the British fleet in America, Alexander Cochrane, made a harsh and unflattering remark at the time:

«Americans are a constantly whining, hypocritical nation, devoid of nobility and courage. They remind me of a spaniel that can only be taught manners and politeness with a stick».

The Yankees suffered several defeats on the battlefield, and the Redcoats, who had captured the capital, burned the White House and the Capitol. The total damage from the destruction of Washington was $1,500,000 in 1814 prices.

The Americans, humiliated and offended, nevertheless declared themselves the victors in what became known as the Anglo-American War of 1812–1815. The British were so busy overthrowing the «Corsican monster» that nobody thought of minting a medal… «For the capture of Washington».

As the British prepared to repel the Nazi invasion of their islands, and as the Royal Navy lost eleven warships in two weeks, Winston Churchill gritted his teeth and agreed to trade 50 obsolete American destroyers for the right for the U.S. to establish bases in the Bahamas, Jamaica, Antigua, St. Lucia, Trinidad, and British Guiana for 99 years. Rumor has it that Churchill, known for his robust health, suffered his first heart attack during this time.

These days, the endless competition between the banking clans of the U.S. and U.K. over the main feeding grounds of the financial oligarchy — the securities and metals exchanges and the LIBOR interest rates — continues. Revelations of unscrupulous manipulation, including corporate collusion, in London’s financial markets have led to interest rates on the dollar and other currencies no longer being set in the capital of the former empire, but at the Chicago Board of Trade.

And after muckraker journalists exposed offshore accounts in British jurisdictions (notably leading to the arrest of the Prime Minister of the British Virgin Islands on charges of laundering illegal income from Mexican drug dealers), the reputation of such quiet tax havens, as well as the attractiveness and profitability of this feeding ground for British financial magnates, was significantly damaged. I guess Wall Street was popping champagne.

After the sabotage of Nord Stream, the refusal of the European Commission to support the competitiveness of the European economy with cheap Siberian hydrocarbons, and the impossibility of compensating these losses with more accessible energy resources, America has essentially made Europe dependent on its liquefied natural gas (LNG), like an addiction. However, it is sold to its British cousins at prices three to four times higher than on the US domestic market, accelerating the process of deindustrialization of what was once the workshop of the world, while at the same time undermining its status as the world’s largest financial center.

…So don’t say that cousins across the ocean are supposedly devoted to each other, and that the often-mentioned Anglo-Saxon unity is immune to geopolitical circumstances and long-standing rivalry.
